Today I got an email from a customer. I get many emails during the week, sometimes questions, sometimes grateful ones and sometimes I get unhappy ones. I try to make everyone happy as I'm a customer as well but this one really hurt me and I couldn't shut up my mouth even if it was losing good feedback. There is a way to say things and sometimes people is really rude so, after getting an email that said, literally, that my product was: cheap, dull and worth less than a dollar and requesting a refund (with one star feedback using those words), I could not help myself than replying with:
"I'm sorry to hear that. It's the first time someone gives me such a negative response.I have to say that it hurt me hearing so many harsh comments as I try to make them as better as I can and the picture is what I sell, not retouched or anything.I usually do refunds in a case base as is made to order. You could have said that it wasn't what you expected but not that it's cheap, dull and worth less then a dollar. That's being tackless and unprofessional and more when people that have shops on Etsy do this because they love to craft. I will refund you when you send me back the necklace but please, on future transactions with anyone, we do this because we love it, that we are no big companies and that even if you really think my item is shit, is MY SHIT which I crafted with love. A little courtesy never hurt anyone."
Even on the feedback section. I don't care. And for those wondering why I'm allowing a refund, first, he has to send it back and secondly, I always do my crafts with care and enjoying the process. I prefer having my item back than with someone like that.
